The purpose of Stage Two is to provide opportunities for interested members
of TGV to work on other projects besides Main Stage and Gingerbread productions. Stage Two serves as a
venue for shows that might otherwise not see production at TGV because of concerns with subject matter, show popularity, profit
margin, or audience familiarity. There will be up to four Stage Two productions per season.
Proposals for
Stage 2 shows for the 2013-2014 season are due to Michael Brogdon (bromicha@hotmail.com) by March 31. All TGV members are eligible to submit a proposal
that includes show information, theatre experience, and show dates.
This season there will be two Stage
Two productions:
A Piece of My Heart by Shirley Lauro The true stories of six courageous
women sent to Vietnam and their struggle to make sense of a war that irrevocably changed them and a nation that shunned them.
A work with the music and soul of a tumultuous era in our history.

Smell
of the Kill by Michele Lowe The Smell of the Kill revolves around Nicky, Debra and Molly
who have tolerated one another during once-a-month dinners for years. While their unseen spouses play golf in the dining room,
the women exchange confidences for the first time revealing that all three marriages are on the brink of disaster and all
three women are facing the challenges of their lives. Nicky's husband has been indicted for embezzlement, Molly's
husband is stalking her and Debra's husband is leaving her for another woman. When the men mistakenly lock themselves
in a basement meat locker the women are faced with a life-or-death decision: should they leave the men out in the cold permanently
or let them thaw?
